They requested training on banana chips making at commercial quality. The Intex, through Martiniano Regis of Sablayan contacted the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in San Jose.

The MAWADI have a home product that they can display for sell in their consumer store. Our problem is mobilization of resources/capital. We asked the Intex-CREDO Sablayan if there are works in nursery so that what we can earn will be used as capital. We worked for a week. We saved P7,000. We added amounts from our pocket that reaches our capital to P15,000.

We thanked the Intex-Mindoro Nickel Project for the Consumer Store building. We thanked Martin as our organizer, his patience is great. At first we are 18 we dropped to 8 on February 2010. Lack of opportunity is a common discussion why San Agustin is at poverty. Martin challenged us to plan and act for change today and in the future. As heads of families we are seeing that someday our agriculture production can expand, or we can find other means to increase our income. We decided to discuss plans in the evening hours and decided to associate to earn knowledge in alternative livelihood. It was decided to start with poultry which is at 45 days cycle. MESSAGES

Message of Luz Villanueva, Chairperson of MAWADI (capture message only)

Message of Joel Tayabin, Chairman of HALIK (capture message only)

Message of Pastor James Masadaw

Matthew Chapter 7, verses 24-26:

Place your house, and projects on the rock.

Amen.

Message of Philip Sosara

At maraming salamat.

Message from the Alyansa Laan sa Kaunlaran at Kalikasan Laban sa Kahirapan (ALAS-KA).

Message from Martiniano G. Regis, CREDO Sablayan (Closing)

Good morning po sa MAWADI AT HALIK.

(this was spoken in tagalog but dsirectly written in english)

You are here to witness the opening of the livelihood projects of you group/sector. For truth you are still “on-bat”, and the ball still to be thrown. You don’t know the speed and power of the ball that the MAWADI and HALIK will bat. If you can operate say a year or 3 year failure or success event you will analyze and plan to improve. If it’s a failure then definitely another set will be on bat. If it is a success then definitely it’s a home run, a score for good, but you have to move and plan more.

Even the consumer store of MAWADI survived the critical event of a being a fetus. At least even if there is no one to hold for, the organization managed to be born with the effort of surviving incorporators who are the current officers.

Maintain your organization and make your project big and successful. If it grows big, many of your members will find work and production by themselves. Always practice the nobility in business and humility in service, which are the essence organization.

We always exist as partner. And we thanked the LORD for this event. We pray for the health of everybody so that we can move for more blessings.
